The Qatar Open Taekwondo Championship will start in Doha on October 21.
Idman.biz reports that Azerbaijan will be represented in the competition of adults in the 3-day competition.
Head coach of men's national team is Mammad Abdullayev and the senior coach is Zahid Mammadov. Sayyad Dadashov (54 kg), Gashim Magomedov (58 kg), Parviz Iskenderov (63 kg), Javad Aghayev (74 kg), Aliaskar Aliyev (74 kg), Eltaj Gafarov (80 kg), will rely on Hamidreza Badri Aliabadi and Milad Beigi Harchegani (both +87 kg) will represent Azerbaijan in Doha.
The women's team of Azerbaijan will try its strength with 4 athletes under the leadership of head coach Sun-Mi Park in the Qatar Open Championship. Among Azerbaijani representatives, Minaya Akbarova (49 kg), Samarrukh Osmanova (53 kg), Saida Aliyeva (53 kg) and Fatima Majidova (67 kg) will compete.
It should be noted that all taekwondo players of Azerbaijan will test their strength in the G1 category competition on October 22.
