On October 19, the European Championship among young taekwondo players will start in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia.
Idman.biz informs that the Azerbaijani national team will compete in the 3-day competition.
Head coach Rashad Mammadov and senior coach Vurgun Safarov will give a chance to 17 taekwondo players in the first place. Ilknur Alimov (148 cm), Khazar Hamidov (156 cm), Ilyas Hatamli, Anar Abdullazade (both 160 cm), Novruz Aliyev (164 cm), Aliheydar Guliyev (168 cm), Hasan Alizade (172 cm), Matlab Aliyev (176 cm), Tamerlan Yagubov (180 cm), Nuray Jalilova (148 cm), Laman Manafova (152 cm), Zahra Isayeva (156 cm), Shams Alizade, Humay Dadashova (both 160 cm), Amina Mammadova (164 cm), Nilufer Borci (168 cm) and Fatima Hasanova (172 cm) will represent.
The team will be led by the vice-president of Azerbaijan Taekwondo Federation Niyamaddin Pashayev. International referee Joshgun Nadirov will take part in the competition.
It should be noted that the team that left for Belgrade today will return to Baku on September 22.
