Olympic champions Hidayat Heydarov and Zelym Kotsoiev visited the Alley of Honor and the Alley of Martyrs.
Per Idman.biz, the champions said that the Azerbaijani flag raised in international arenas is powerful thanks to Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, martyrs, and veterans.
The medalists owed it to themselves to visit the Great Leader and the martyrs and bow before their souls.
Hidayat and Zelym laid flowers in front of the grave of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and paid tribute to his memory. During the visit, the wife of the Great Leader, prominent ophthalmologist-scientist, and academician Zarifa Aliyeva was also commemorated and flowers were placed on her grave.
Later, the champions went to the Alley of Martyrs and commemorated the sons of the Motherland who died for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and laid flowers on their graves.
