Participating in the press conference held on the eve of the start of the wrestling competitions of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games, the official emphasized that the Azerbaijani athlete Maria Stadnik always stood out by her stable performance: "Maria won two silver medals at the Games and achieved an incredible result. It's great to see her continue to perform at such a high level. We will all be happy to watch Stadnik's performance in Paris."
She also touched on the number of participating countries in the Olympics: "Wrestlers from 64 countries will participate in the Summer Games. The qualifying tournaments were quite difficult. Several competitions took place for athletes to take advantage of their chances. I think we will witness an interesting fight."
The head of the UWW also compared the atmosphere of the Tokyo and Paris Olympics: "It is a good thing that the fans are returning to the arenas. It was unusual to perform in Tokyo without them. Masks are a thing of the past, the consequences of COVID have been eliminated. Now we will watch a real sports festival in Paris."
