Competitions in 11 sports to be held today at the 3rd CIS Games

Competitions in 11 sports will be held today at the 3rd CIS Games.

According to Idman.biz, the final football match will take place at the Gabala City Stadium. At 14:00, the U-16 national teams of Azerbaijan and Russia will face each other. Badminton competitions will also continue in the same city.

Fans will witness most of the events in Ganja. At the Ganja Sports Palace, Belarus will meet Uzbekistan in the U-17 boys’ volleyball tournament, while Azerbaijan will play against Russia. Medalists will also be determined in the fencing competition held at the same venue, and shooting events will begin there as well.

At the Ganja Olympic Complex, winners will be announced among female wrestlers and freestyle wrestlers.

In Shaki, the semifinals of the chovgan (traditional equestrian sport) competition will be held.

At the Yevlakh Olympic Sports Complex, the finals of the boxing competitions will take place, while in Khankendi, the archery events will continue.

In Mingachevir, the karate competitions will conclude with the final day’s winners being determined, and in Goygol, the judo competitions will begin.

The 3rd CIS Games will conclude on October 8. A total of 1,624 athletes and 2,337 delegates from 13 countries are participating in the tournament. Among them are 340 athletes from Azerbaijan, 4 from Pakistan, 262 from Russia, 254 from Uzbekistan, 240 from Belarus, 147 from Kazakhstan, 144 from Tajikistan, 126 from Kyrgyzstan, 48 from Turkmenistan, 38 from Turkiye, 11 from Cuba, 6 from Kuwait, and 4 from Oman.
