The National Equestrian Festival dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was launched on November 5-8 at the Bina Equestrian Center under the organization of the Equestrian Federation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Idman.biz informs that before the opening ceremony of the 4-day tournament, a minute of silence was announced as a sign of respect to the memory of National leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan. Then the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.
During his speech at the opening ceremony of the National Equestrian Festival, the Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan, Farid Gayibov, said that sports federations are also active within the framework of the great leader's 100th anniversary: "This year, various competitions were held in the Azerbaijan Equestrian Federation. Today we gathered at the opening ceremony of the National Equestrian Festival. All international competitions held in our country are the victory of our sport. I wish success to all participants."
At the festival, only the horses of the national breed - Qarabag and Dilbaz horses will be organized the Championship of Chovgan, Jidir races and Yorga races.
Today, the ceremonial opening ceremony of the festival was organized in the indoor arena. The opening ceremony will be followed by the first 3 games of the World Chess Championship. Azerbaijan will face Türkiye, Kazakhstan will face Morocco, and Uzbekistan will face Poland.
It should be noted that the national teams of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Poland and Morocco are participating in the Chovgan Championship.
