The summer transfer window continues in Azerbaijan.
As per Idman.biz, the remaining part of the transitional period is notable for some points.
One of them is related to the foreigner goalkeepers. A large number of international goalkeepers left Azerbaijan in a short period of time.
Only yesterday, two of them said goodbye to the Premier League.
Luka Gugeshashvili parted his ways with Qarabag, Ivan Brkic said goodbye to Neftchi. The Georgian national team goalkeeper preferred to move to Panserraikos, and the Croatian to Motor Lublin.
Maybe both goalkeepers left because they were not number 1 in the Premier League club. As Brkic started to lose his place to Rza Jafarov, he got a chance in only 13 matches in the last championship. Luka only played in 9 games.
But the farewell trend of foreign goalkeepers started earlier and it is not only this couple. Qarabag also lost another goalkeeper Andrey Lunev. The number 1 of his team won 19 chances in the Premier League last season.
Kapaz also lost their main goalkeeper. Igor Rodrigues, who played 24 matches, left the Ganja club. Semir Bukvić, who played one game and spent the day in reserve, said goodbye to Araz-Nakhchivan.
If we don't count those who changed their footballing citizenship, there were 8 foreign goalkeepers at the end of the last championship. If five international left the Premier League, only two will fight in the elite again. These are Thiago Silva from Zira and Cristian Avram from Araz-Nakhchivan. Gabala played by Christophe Atangana left the Premier League. Of course, new foreign goalkeepers will also come. But they will be in a different debutante status than Tiago and Christian.
Another international goalkeeper Vladislav Vasilyuchek left Kepaz during the championship.
