Jeyhun Sultanov: "We should give a chance to those who played less against Mongolia"
"The matches of the national team have always been important. We have never had an easy match. Therefore, I think the match will be good."
Jeyhun Sultanov, a former football player of the Azerbaijan national team, told Idman.biz.
He evaluated the Azerbaijan-Mongolia game, which will be organized by FIFA for the first time in Baku within the framework of the "FIFA series – Edition 2024" project. Sultanov said that it is necessary to give a chance to those who did not perform well in the match and check how useful they will be in the next game: "At least our national team should win against Mongolia. If we want to shape the team for the future, we should give a chance to newly invited players and those who play less. We don't know what they are capable of. We should be aware of their potential."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijan-Mongolia match will start today at 20:00 at the Republic Stadium named after Tofig Bahramov.
