The future of Azerbaijan international Nariman Akhundzade at Erzurumspor is reportedly uncertain.
As reported by İdman.Biz, citing Turkish media, the 22-year-old forward could leave the Turkish club at the end of the season.
Akhundzade joined Erzurumspor from MLS side Columbus Crew on a one-year loan deal. He has so far made three appearances for the Turkish club, coming off the bench in each game and failing to register a goal or an assist.
Erzurumspor's coaching staff also reportedly followed Akhundzade's performance for Azerbaijan U21 in their home UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifier against the Czech Republic. The forward started the match and played 77 minutes, but his display is claimed to have failed to impress the Turkish club's management.
According to the report, if Akhundzade's performances do not improve, Erzurumspor could decide against exercising the option to acquire his transfer rights at the end of the season.
Akhundzade has played a total of 55 minutes for Erzurumspor, featuring in the 3-0 defeat to Amedspor, the 4-0 loss to Galatasaray and the 1-1 draw with Genclerbirligi.
