Arsenal have intensified their interest in Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Diant Ramaj, reportedly sending scouts to Germany to closely monitor his performances in the Bundesliga. The 24-year-old shot-stopper is currently on loan at Heidenheim, where he has impressed with a series of strong displays this season, Idman.Biz reports.
Despite David Raya remaining the undisputed first-choice goalkeeper at the Emirates Stadium and Kepa Arrizabalaga acting as his backup, the Gunners are understood to be exploring long-term options to strengthen the position. Ramaj is viewed as a promising option for the future, especially given his age and development trajectory.
According to Sport Bild correspondent Christian Falk, Ramaj is already on Arsenal’s shortlist. Speaking on the outlet’s podcast “True or Not”, Falk confirmed that the London club is closely following the goalkeeper’s progress. Ramaj joined Borussia Dortmund from Ajax in February 2025 for a fee exceeding five million euros and is under contract until 2029, meaning any potential deal would require negotiations with the Bundesliga club.
Reports suggest that Arsenal scouts, along with representatives of other Premier League sides, have been impressed by Ramaj’s shot-stopping ability and composure in distribution. However, his future may depend on the situation at Arsenal, where Raya remains central to Mikel Arteta’s plans, while Kepa, despite limited playing time, has publicly expressed satisfaction with his role.
Ramaj himself has previously stated that regular game time will be a key factor in his career decisions, making the upcoming transfer windows potentially decisive for all parties involved.
