Khagan Ahmad emerged victorious in the blitz competition, Idman.biz reports.
He scored 7.5 points in nine games and edged out Rustam Rustamov based on tiebreak criteria. Murad Ibrahimli finished third, just half a point behind.
In the rapid tournament, Rustam Rustamov took first place with six points from seven rounds. He outperformed Askar Rzayev and Tunar Davudov based on tiebreaks.
The Lankaran Open is held within the framework of the Chess Tour Azerbaijan initiative organized by the Chess Federation.
