A meeting between Azerbaijan Chess Federation President Mahir Mammadov and newly elected Turkish Chess Federation President Enes Efendioglu was held on the sidelines of the World Chess Olympiad in Uzbekistan.
As reported by İdman.Biz, the Azerbaijan Chess Federation announced the details of the meeting.
The two officials discussed a new stage of cooperation in chess between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, including the organisation of joint tournaments, the development of young chess players and the exchange of experience between the two federations.
The meeting was aimed at further strengthening ties between the chess communities of the two countries and exploring opportunities for future joint projects.
At the end of the meeting, Mammadov presented Efendioglu with a commemorative gift.
