In September, a meeting was held with the Azerbaijani national team of female chess players who will participate in the World Chess Olympiad.
According to the information provided to Idman.biz by the Chess Federation, members of the national team, Gunay Mammadzada, Ulviyya Fataliyeva, Govhar Beydullayeva, Gulnar Mammadova, Khanim Balajayeva, as well as captain Mikhail Shereshevsky and coach Evgeny Tomashevsky participated in the meeting.
First, the chess players talked about the last tournaments they participated in. After that, captain Mikhail Shereshevsky and coach Evgeny Tomashevsky expressed their opinion about the last stage of preparation for the Olimpiad.
President of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation, Mahir Mammadov, who is interested in the progress of preparations for the Olympics, said that necessary conditions will be created for the national team in connection with training.
During the meeting, the preparation plan for August and other issues related to the Olympics were discussed.
