Idman.biz reports that the Azerbaijani chess player Nijat Abasov, who competed in the tournament organized in Toronto, Canada, met the US representative Fabiano Caruana.
In the first round, Nijat, who split the score in half with Russian Ian Nepomniachtchi, played with black pieces this time. He received his first defeat in the tournament. Abasov surrendered in the 37th move of the game.
