Armenian Kazarian was fined in the World Championship

Anna-Maja Kazarian, an Armenian chess player representing the Netherlands, was fined 100 euros.

Idman.biz reports that he came to the rapid and blitz World Championship in Samarkand in sports shoes.

According to the rules of FIDE, the participants cannot participate in the competitions in sports clothes. Kazarian was punished for violating the rules. The athlete of Armenian origin commented on the matter as follows: "I saw a warning sign about clothing. I felt badly anxious and had a headache from the stress. This is disrespect on the part of FIDE."

It should be noted that Anastasia Bodnaruk in the rapid and Valentina Gunina in the blitz became the world champions in women's competition.
