Farid Gayibov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Youth and Sports, has held the 24th meeting with representatives of national sports federations.
According to İdman.Biz, citing the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan, the meeting took place at the Azerbaijan Sports Academy. The minister welcomed the participants and presented information on the work carried out recently, as well as the tasks ahead.
In line with the agenda, participants were presented with a final report on the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games, updates on preparations for the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Olympic Games, and information related to athlete registration and classification.
Presentations were also delivered by experienced foreign specialists Edward Kolar, Rado Pisot, Matej Tusak and Tomaz Levak, covering topics such as artificial intelligence, the Azerfit project, and plans for physical and psychological preparation.
In addition, information was shared on coaching courses across different sports, issues related to UGIM, the Youth Summer Olympic Games set to be held in Senegal later this year, and the Baku 2026 “World Sports Capital” program. A separate report focused on the activity of sports federations on social media platforms.
