Al-Nassr have reacted to Cristiano Ronaldo's return to the club following the controversy surrounding his departure from the Portugal national team camp.
As reported by İdman.Biz, the Saudi club announced that the Portuguese forward had resumed training and welcomed its star player with a post on social media.
"Number 7 is back to work," Al-Nassr wrote.
Ronaldo was left out of Portugal's starting XI for the UEFA Nations League match against Norway on September 27, which ended in a 2-1 victory for his team. The forward spent the entire match on the bench.
Portugal head coach Jorge Jesus later said that Ronaldo would not be included in the squad for the next match, after which the 41-year-old left the national team camp without authorization.
Amid the controversy, Jesus subsequently stated that Ronaldo could return whenever he wanted.
Ronaldo has now rejoined Al-Nassr and resumed preparations with the Saudi club.
