Four more Azerbaijani judokas will begin their campaigns at the World Judo Championships in Baku today.
As reported by İdman.Biz, Hanna Zaytseva (63 kg), Vusal Galandarzade, Zelim Tckaev and Omar Rajabli (all 81 kg) will take to the tatami.
Zaytseva will start in the round of 32, where she will face the winner of the contest between Pei Chun Yuan of Chinese Taipei and Anna Kriza of Hungary.
Galandarzade will compete in the round of 64 against Bulgaria's Hristo Valkov.
Tckaev will enter the competition in the round of 32 and face the winner of the Timothy Meuwsen (South Africa) – Victor Sterpu (Moldova) contest.
Rajabli will also begin in the round of 32, where his opponent will be the winner of the bout between Sibgatullah Arab (IRT) and Mahamadou Doukara of Mali.
The preliminary session at the National Gymnastics Arena is scheduled to begin at 10:30, with the final block starting at 18:00.
The World Championships in Baku will conclude on October 11.
Azerbaijan has already won two medals at the home World Championships. Ahmad Yusifov claimed gold in the men's 60 kg category, while Rashid Mammadaliyev secured bronze at 73 kg.
