Azerbaijan’s badminton players have secured a bronze medal at the Bulgarian Junior U19 International 2025.
The mixed doubles team of Ulvi Huseynov and Leyla Jamalzade reached the semifinals of the tournament, earning third place, Idman.biz reports.
On their way to the semifinals, the pair defeated opponents from Luxembourg and Bulgaria. However, just one step away from the final, they were forced to withdraw due to an injury sustained by Ulvi Huseynov.
In the individual events, Leyla Jamalzade advanced to the Round of 16 in the girls’ singles, while Ulvi Huseynov made it to the quarterfinals in the boys’ singles category.
