The next football competition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Victory Day was held with the participation of veterans of the Patriotic War, who were provided with high-tech prostheses by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
Idman.biz reports that among those who watched the race were Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, legislators, Heroes of the Patriotic War and other well-known persons.
First, the dear memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence, and the National Anthem of Azerbaijan was played.
The conventionally named "Zafar" and "Galaba" (both mean victory) teams appeared.
Of the 14 participants in the game, 10 were war veterans provided with high-tech prostheses, and the rest were ministry employees who participated in the Patriotic War.
Functionality and activity of the prostheses allowed them to show high performance during the game.
The match, which took place in the conditions of interesting game episodes and intense struggle, ended with a score of 7:4 in favor of the "Galaba" team.
At the end, the participants were presented with certificates of appreciation and medals.
