There were changes in the regulations of the I and II Leagues of the Azerbaijan Championship.
The decision was made by the Professional Football League, Idman.biz reports.
It was announced by Elgiz Abasov, who is temporarily acting as the president of the institution. Speaking at the draw of the lower leagues, the official of the league said that changes have been made in both teams.
At the end of the season, the last place team will leave the league in any case. The withdrawal or removal of any club from the competition will not affect the fate of the last place holder.
The playoff stage organized for playing in Leagues I and II will consist of one match to be played on a neutral ground. Last season, two meetings were organized in this round.
The number of players in the II League has also been reduced. Each team will be able to order 35 players instead of 40 like last season. All coaches in the coaching staff of the clubs of this group are required to have a license.
The new season will start on September 11 in the I League, and on September 1 in the II League.
