The winners of the Baku Marathon 2025, held at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, have been determined.
The winner of the men's race in the marathon held under the slogan Conquer the Wind was Turkish Atac Sezgin, Idman.biz reports.
Russian Vitaly Shafar crossed the finish line second. Another representative of Turkiye, Murat Emekdar, won the bronze medal.
In the women's race, Ukrainian Natalya Semenovich reached the finish line faster than anyone. Anna Yusupova, representing Azerbaijan, came in second, and Japanese athlete Eriko Soma was awarded third place.
The winners will be awarded cash prizes and medals.
Up to 28,000 participants have registered for the marathon.
