It was stated by Fuzuli Musayev, Vice President of the Azerbaijan Karate Federation (AKF), in a statement to Idman.biz.
He noted that the Baku Marathon 2025 was organized at a high level. Musayev said that the race is distinguished by a number of features: "First of all, running is very important for health. In general, this is a very good initiative. Both professional athletes and amateurs come together thanks to such events, and good conditions for communication are created. Baku is a city of winds. Holding a marathon under the slogan Overcome the Wind is an interesting approach".
He also spoke about the work done in the Karate Federation: "Everything is in order in our Federation. Things are going very well. We hold numerous competitions. Our athletes participate in international competitions, show good results. As you know, this year the CIS Games will be held in Azerbaijan for the first time. There is also karate here. I hope that our athletes will please us with excellent results."
Up to 28 thousand participants have registered for the competition organized at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Well-known political and public figures, artists, intellectuals, in general, more than 200 official and honorary participants have participated in the Baku Marathon, which is already being held for the 8th time.
