The U17 European Wrestling Championships kick off today in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia.
The opening day of the event—set to run through June 15—will feature Greco-Roman wrestlers, Idman.biz reports.
Five Azerbaijani athletes will take to the mat on Day 1: Gurban Majnunov (48 kg), Aykhan Asadli (55 kg), Ramil Musayev (65 kg), Nijat Yeylagaliyev (80 kg), and Rihad Ibrahimli (110 kg).
Additionally, first-class referee Vugar Shukurov will represent Azerbaijan as an official during the tournament.
