The U-17 European Wrestling Championship continues in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia.
As Idman.biz reports, on the third day of the tournament, the female wrestlers will join the competition.
Representing our national team, Khadija Qurbanzade (49 kg), Ulviya Musayeva (57 kg), and Fidan Babayeva (65 kg) will step onto the mat. All three will compete in the qualification round.
It’s worth noting that, so far in the championship, our Greco-Roman wrestlers have secured the following medals: Rihad Ibrahimli (110 kg) won gold, while Gurban Majnunov (48 kg) and Nijat Yeylagaliyev (80 kg) claimed bronze. Among other Greco-Roman athletes, Abdurrahman Huseynli (45 kg) and Ali Nazarov (60 kg) will compete in the finals today, while Elshad Abbasov (51 kg) will fight for a bronze medal.
