The United World Wrestling (UWW) has revealed the number of participants for the upcoming World Championship in Non-Olympic Weights, which will take place in Tirana, Albania, from October 28-31.
According to Idman.biz, approximately 300 athletes will compete for medals in 12 weight categories across freestyle, Greco-Roman, and women's wrestling.
The Azerbaijani national team will be represented by 10 athletes in the event. The freestyle wrestlers competing are Nurettin Novruzov (61 kg), Ali Rahimzade (65 kg), Orkhan Abasov (79 kg), and Aslan Abakarov (92 kg). In Greco-Roman wrestling, the lineup includes Eldeniz Azizli (55 kg), Nihat Mammadli (63 kg), Ulvi Ganizade (72 kg), and Gurban Gurbanov (82 kg). The women's team will feature Alena Kolesnik (59 kg) and Elis Manolova (65 kg).
