Investigations begun for Turan Bayramov's semi-final match

The result of the match in which Azerbaijani wrestler Turan Bayramov won an Olympic license will be investigated by the World Wrestling Union (WWW).

Idman.biz reports that this was caused by an official complaint of the Italian Federation of Judo, Karate and Martial Arts (FIJLKAM). UWW has begun investigations into the match between Turan Bayramov and Frank Chamizo in the 74 kg semifinals at the European Olympic Qualification Tournament in Baku.

Collecting reports from judges and agency representatives, UWW plans to investigate the meeting and make the fairest decision. It should be noted that Bayramov won a license for Paris-2024 due to the quality of points in the duel that ended with the score of 8:8. Although the Italian wrestler's trick at the end was not recorded due to time running out, the Apennines claim that the deciding point came within 6 minutes of the match.
