Turan Bayramov: "Chamizo won his matches by the judges' biased decisions" – VIDEO

"A defeated athlete is always looking for a reason."

This was said by Turan Bayramov (74 kg), a freestyle wrestler of the Azerbaijan, who was a guest of the Idman Bizde program.

The 23-year-old wrestler responded to his Italian opponent Frank Chamizo's allegations that he suffered injustice after the semi-final match where he won a license at the European Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Baku. He said that these are just excuses: "Chamizo should not forget that he won 5 or 6 matches as a result of biased decisions of the judges, and as a result these, he became a European, world and Olympic medalist.

This does not mean that he should be helped every time. I am not saying that the judges are biased towards me. There is no such thing. Perhaps wrestling fans know better, there is talk of fixation here. I knew that there was no point. I was excited for the rematch. I didn't want to give points in the last seconds. That was my responsibility. In the second episode, there is a new rule in wrestling that you cannot step on your leg. He gets points like that. People do not pay attention to such things, they say that the judges made a biased decision. There is no such thing. The World Wrestling Federation itself has sympathy for Chamizo. Toghrul Asgarov hit him in the world championship, but they didn't give him. Maybe Chamizo needs to be reminded of that. I think that this is the result of me and my teachers' suffering. This is Azerbaijan's victory."

It should be noted that Bayramov beat Frank Chamizo (Italy) in the semi-finals according to the quality of the points - 8:8.
