The Azerbaijani freestyle wrestling team won another license for the Paris-2024 Summer Olympic Games.
Idman.biz reports that Giorgi Meshvildishvili signed this success.
The 125 kg pahlevan successfully performed at the European Olympic Qualifying Tournament for wrestling held in Baku. In the quarter-finals, he beat Abraham Konedo (Italy) with a score of 10:0, and in the semi-finals, Alen Khubulova (Bulgaria) won - 7:0. With this victory, he advanced to the Olympic Games.
Thus, each of Azerbaijan's freestyle wrestlers who participated in the competition finished their performance with a qualification. Before Meshvildishvili, Aliabbas Rzazade (57 kg), Haji Aliyev (65 kg), Turan Bayramov (74 kg) and Osman Nurmagomedov (86 kg) achieved the same success.
