Real Madrid head coach Jose Mourinho has explained why Vinicius Junior was substituted during the match.
As reported by İdman.Biz, the Portuguese coach particularly highlighted the Brazilian forward's contribution in defence.
"Vini Jr. did a very good job defensively. He was very tired, and that is why I decided to substitute him," Mourinho said.
The Real Madrid coach has previously praised Vinicius for carrying out his defensive responsibilities and contributing to the team's work without the ball.
Mourinho has also stressed that the Brazilian can count on his support as long as he continues to work for the team and fulfil the tactical duties required of him.
