Renowned Azerbaijani wrestler Haji Aliyev will compete in his second bout in the Real American Freestyle (RAF) professional league on Friday night into Saturday.
As reported by İdman.Biz, the multiple Olympic, World and European Championships medalist will compete at RAF 13 in Miami, USA.
The 35-year-old Azerbaijani will face American wrestler Jacori Teemer in the lightweight division. The 26-year-old is a four-time All-American in US collegiate wrestling and a 2024 NCAA Championships finalist. He is also a four-time Pac-12 champion. The bout against Aliyev will mark Teemer's RAF debut.
Aliyev, meanwhile, will make his second appearance in the organization. He debuted at RAF 10 in St. Louis on June 13, facing Puerto Rico's Sebastian Rivera and losing 9-5.
After ending his active international freestyle wrestling career, Aliyev continued in the sport as a coach. In June 2026, he was appointed head coach of Azerbaijan's U17 freestyle wrestling national team.
The RAF 13 main event will feature former UFC fighters Colby Covington and Belal Muhammad, with Covington set to defend his RAF crossover championship. In the co-main event, Khamzat Chimaev will face Gilbert Burns. The pair previously met in MMA at UFC 273 in 2022, when Chimaev won by unanimous decision.
RAF 13 will take place at the Watsco Center in Miami and is scheduled to begin at 04:00 Baku time on September 19.
