Idman.biz reports that the freestyle wrestler of the Azerbaijan national team obtained this right at the European Olympic Qualifying Tournament for wrestling held in Baku.
The 86 kg athlete faced Vasily Mikhailov (Ukraine) in the decisive match for the Olympic "ticket". Before that, Azerbaijan's wrestler who defeated Domantas Pauliuscenko (Lithuania) 11:0, Samuel Scherrer (Switzerland) 5:0, Magomed Ramazanov (Bulgaria) 6:2 won his 4th victory in a row - 4:1. The success in the semi-finals earned our athlete a license to Paris.
Before him, Aliabbas Rzazade (57 kg), Haji Aliyev (65 kg) and Turan Bayramov (74 kg) also achieved the same success.
It should be noted that a total of 36 wrestlers will qualify for the Olympics in the competition held in Baku.
