Preparations are continuing in Argentina for Lionel Messi's farewell match with the national team.
Argentina will face Benin at El Monumental in Buenos Aires on October 6.
As reported by İdman.Biz, citing TNT Sports Argentina, all tickets for the match were sold out in just four minutes.
El Monumental, the home stadium of River Plate and a regular venue for Argentina's national team matches, has a capacity of around 85,000 spectators.
Messi made his senior international debut for Argentina in 2005. The 39-year-old forward has recorded 125 goals and 68 assists in 207 appearances for La Albiceleste.
During his international career, Messi helped Argentina win the 2022 FIFA World Cup, two Copa America titles and the 2022 Finalissima.
Messi announced at the end of August that he had decided to end his international career. The match against Benin on October 6 is therefore set to be his final appearance for Argentina.
