She announced her goal in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament, which will start on April 5 in Baku. The 22-year-old wrestler expressed confidence that he will get a license: "Our national team has been preparing together with Russia, Romania and Turkmenistan for 2 weeks. The atmosphere in the team is very good. The fact that the competition will take place between the native walls will give us additional strength and motivation. I think my teammates will perform with confidence. "I will do my best to win a license for Paris-2024."
Mammadova commented on the difficulty of fighting in the new weight and revealed the name of her main opponent: "Before that, I wrestled both in 50 and 55 kg. I got results in both. It will not be difficult for me to perform at 53 kg. I have the physical training and experience to fight at this weight. My main opponent in the tournament will be Andre Ana from Romania. I had 3 meetings against her. I lost 2 of them and won 1. If you train with faith, discipline and desire, it is possible to win against all opponents."
It should be noted that according to the program of the tournament in Baku, female wrestlers will take to the tatami on April 6.
