Inter Miami superstar Lionel Messi has reportedly played an unexpected role in changing the wedding date of his teammate Rodrigo De Paul and Argentine singer Tini Stoessel.
As reported by İdman.Biz, citing Spanish newspaper Sport, the couple initially planned to marry on December 26, 2026. However, the date coincided with the wedding of Messi's sister, María Sol.
According to the report, Messi approached his close friend De Paul and asked him to reschedule the ceremony, explaining that he needed to attend his sister's wedding.

Following the request, De Paul and Stoessel moved their wedding forward by one week, setting the new date for December 19.
However, the situation subsequently took an unexpected turn.
Messi's sister reportedly postponed her wedding until 2027 due to family circumstances, meaning the scheduling conflict that prompted De Paul to change his plans no longer existed.
Despite this development, De Paul and Stoessel have decided to keep their wedding scheduled for December 19.
The Argentine midfielder and the popular singer began their relationship in 2022. Although they separated in 2023, the couple reconciled in 2025 and announced their plans to marry in 2026.
De Paul and Messi share a close friendship, having played together for Argentina's national team and helped the country win the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. They are now also teammates at Inter Miami.
