Sabah midfielder Ivan Lepinitsa made the remarks after his team's 2-0 home win over Czech side Slavia Prague in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League, İdman.Biz reports.
"We had a difficult match. We knew our opponents were a physically very strong team, but we responded well to them on the pitch. I think we had full control of the game and made history as a result. We secured our first-ever Champions League victory."
Speaking about the team's upcoming targets and opponents in the competition, the Croatian midfielder said they were focusing on each match in turn.
"We are currently focused on our domestic league match against Gabala. First, we need to play that game. After that, we will turn our attention back to the Champions League. We have not talked much about the match against Borussia Dortmund yet. First, we will prepare for Gabala and then for Dortmund," he told Teleqraf.az.
