The international player limit has been changed in the Turkish Championship.
Idman.biz reports that this was announced by the press service of the Turkish Football Federation.
From the 2024/25 season, a new limit will be applied in both the Super League and the 1st league. These rules will be valid for the next 5 years.
In the Super League, each team will be able to enter not 14, but less - 12 in the first three seasons, and 11 legionnaires in the next two championships. In the 1st league, the clubs will have the right to order 6 legionnaires instead of 8 as at present. This number will be reduced to 5 in three years.
It should be noted that the total number of players in both leagues will also decrease. In total, each team will have the right to order 26 players instead of 30.
