Puzzling questions: Gabon player faces CAF inquiry

Gabon national team player Guélor Kanga Kaku will be meeting CAF disciplinary committee to explain why his mother died in 1986 but he was born in 1990.

Idman.biz reports with referring to First Sportz that the African Football Confederation will probe Gabonese midfielder, Guelor Kanga Kaku over potential age manipulation. Allegations suggest serious inconsistencies in his stated birth year of 1990, as records indicate his mother passed away in 1985.

It should be noted that Back in May 2021, the CAF launched an investigation following claims that the former Sparta Prague midfielder’s registered birth date conflicts with reports of his mother’s death in 1986, despite his claimed birth year being 1990. The player, reportedly 36, states he is 32, raising concerns about age manipulation. The Gabonese international is expected to present himself in front of the CAF disciplinary committee officials, answering queries regarding the massive age controversy.
