The athlete of the Azerbaijan team was among the strongest of the continent along with the world-famous Lasha Talakhadze, Carlos Nassar, and others. The European Golden 10 list was prepared within the framework of the memorandum signed between the European Section of the International Association of Sports Journalists (AIPS Europe) and the European Weightlifting Federation (EWF). Among these athletes, the best athlete of the year will be chosen by voting.
It should be noted that the name of the winning athlete will be announced on February 12, at the official opening ceremony of the European Weightlifting Championship, which will be held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.
