Azerbaijani fighter Tofiq Musayev’s next UFC bout has been scheduled.
The 35-year-old athlete told Offsideplus.az that the fight will take place on October 5 in Las Vegas, USA, Idman.biz reports.
Musayev, who competes in the lightweight division, does not yet know who his opponent will be.
He noted that he plans to take a more serious approach in preparing for his second UFC fight: “We will hold 2-3 training camps for preparation. Our physical training will take place in Baku. After that, we plan to go to the U.S. That’s the plan for now. Once the opponent is confirmed, the training details will become more specific.”
Musayev made his UFC debut on June 21 in Baku, where he faced Kyrgyzstani fighter Myktybek Oralbai. The Azerbaijani unexpectedly submitted in the first round after getting caught in a painful hold.
Musayev is currently under a four-fight contract with the UFC.
In addition to Musayev, Rafael Fiziev and Nazim Sadykhov are also representing Azerbaijan in UFC competitions.
