For the first time in the history of Azerbaijani sports, the National Aquathlon Championship was held at the Blueplanet Kite Beach Hotel in Shuraabad.
The competition was jointly organized by the Azerbaijan Triathlon Federation and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, with the main sponsorship of the Alufar company, Idman.biz reports.
160 athletes from different regions and clubs of the republic tested their strength in the competition. The championship, which took place in an intense and interesting competition, turned into a memorable sports holiday for both participants and spectators.
The main goal of holding the event is to promote the triathlon sport in the regions of the country and support its mass adoption.
