The 2025 US Open will feature a record-breaking total prize pool of $90 million, the largest in tennis history. The men's and women's singles champions will each receive $5 million, marking a 39% increase from last year’s $3.6 million.
Idman.biz, citing BBC, reports that first-round losers will earn $110,000, up 10%, while the doubles pot has risen 23% to $4.78 million. For the first time, champions in men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles will receive $1 million per team.
The US Open will also allocate $5 million to cover player expenses such as travel, and the qualifying tournament prize money has increased by 10% to $8 million.
The move follows demands from top players for a greater share of Grand Slam revenue. Tournament organizers say every round across all events will see double-digit increases to better reward all participants.
The tournament will run from 24 August to 7 September at Flushing Meadows.
