The Open European Taekwondo Championship among children was held in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia.

In category A, Mehman Qanbarli, weighing 27 kg, was the strongest on the continent. The member of "Crystal Absheron" Taekwondo Club defeated Omari Lapachi (Georgia) in the final and won the gold medal. Another student of this club, Ulvi Mammadov, only lost in the final and took the second place. "Crystal Absheron" ranked second in the team score.
Bronze medals were won by Harun Huseynov from "Khazar" Taekwondo Club (36 kg), Zaur Huseynov from "Khamsa" Taekwondo Club (36 kg) and Nadir Pashayev from "Modern" Club (21 kg).
