Organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Table Tennis Federation, the National Table Tennis Championship dedicated to the Victory Day has been concluded.
Idman.biz informs that about 70 athletes born in 2011 and younger from the capital and regions showed their skills in the competition held at "Shua Sports Complex".
According to the results of the tense and interesting fight, among girls, Yagmur Mamedli won the title of National Champion. Banu Baytalli took the second place, Leyli Mammadova and Ruqayya Gasimzade took the third place.
The boys' fight ended with the victory of Onur Guluzade. Shakir Gadirov was second, Vagif Babayev and Ruslan Karimov were third.
Distinguished athletes were presented with diplomas and medals of the National Academy of Sports Medicine, as well as awards of the ASTF.
It should be noted that the main purpose of organizing the championship is to promote Victory Day, which is considered one of the most important pages in the history of Azerbaijan, and to instill a sense of patriotism in children. The two-day competitions were also important in terms of revealing new talents.
