The International President Cup 2025 Regatta, dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s birth, has concluded.
Idman.biz, via AZERTAC, reports that the final day of the competition, held at the Kur Olympic Training and Sports Center in Mingachevir, saw kayak-canoe and rowing events in various categories.
In the 200-meter kayak race for the 2009-2010 age group, the duo of Ivan Vorobyanski and Huseyn Hasanov earned a silver medal, while Vajib Babayev and Nuran Rahimli took bronze in the same category.
In the same event, the pair of Aziz Ahmadli and Kamal Taghiyev (2011-2012) secured second place, while Sanan Jafarzada and Tahir Movsumov (2011-2012) finished third.
In rowing, the duo of Nurlan Pashayev and Jahangir Mammadli (2006-2007) climbed to the second step of the podium in the academic rowing category.
In total, Azerbaijani rowers ended the regatta with 14 medals. The national team members had earlier secured 1 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze medals.
