Idman.biz, citing Report, informs that this is what Rimas Sukatskas, head coach of the Lithuanian team participating in the International President Cup 2025 Regatta, told journalists.
The coach, visiting Azerbaijan for the first time, said: “I wanted to see the level at which the competition is organized in your country. I really liked the organization; everything is well planned. The participation of so many countries makes the event even more exciting. I believe the strongest will win in the end. We are competing here with our second team. In the future, we will come with our main squad. Interest in rowing is at a high level in Azerbaijan. I hope it will continue to develop year by year.”
It’s worth noting that alongside Azerbaijani athletes, rowers from Estonia, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Serbia, South Africa, Spain, Tajikistan, Turkiye, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan are participating in the President’s Cup.
The tournament, featuring over 200 athletes from 20 countries, will conclude tomorrow.
