"Mingechevir Regatta-2023" International Tournament in academic rowing, kayaking and canoeing has started.
Idman.biz informs that 14 teams from 8 countries are participating in the competition organized jointly by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Canoe and Rowing Federation.
On the first day of the tournament, Azerbaijani rowers won 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals. Amil Ramazanov defeated all his competitors in the 1000-meter distance race of athletes born in 2007-2008.
Among the athletes born in 2007-2008, 2 of Azerbaijan's pairs were among the winners in the 1000-meter race in a two-person kayak. Mark Nikulov-Iman Hasanov couple reached the finish line first. Nihad Guliyev-Shahin Isayev duo won the third place.
Jahangir Mammadli took the second place in the race of boys born in 2007-2008 in the race of 1500 meters in a one-man academic rowing boat.
It should be noted that the "Mingechevir regatta-2023" lnternational Tournament will be concluded on October 27.
