The Azerbaijani kickboxing national team set a record at the world championship held in Albufeira, Portugal.
Idman.biz reports that our team achieved this in the number of medals in the World Cup, where 1369 athletes from 70 countries participated.
Our national team won 6 gold, 1 silver, and 6 bronze awards. Among our kickboxers, Subhan Mamedov, Elvin Mammadov, Amin Guliyev and Surat Garayev won the champion title. Orkhan Malikov won silver, Eljan Alkishiyev, Rauf Gerayzadeh, Farid Agamoghlanov, Allahverdi Demirov, Ramiz Mammadov and Gasham Mammadov won bronze medals.
Eduard Mammadov, who participated in the age category of veterans, finished the competition with 2 different versions and 2 gold medals.
