WAKO World Championship held in Albufeira, Portugal continues.
Idman.biz reports that World and European Champion Eduard Mammadov started the World Cup with a victory.
He fought two battles in different versions. First, he defeated Portuguese Emmanuel Cortes in "Light contact", and then Indian Kunnakat Rajesh in "Kick Light".
Amin Guliyev (60 kg) won his second victory in the World Championship by defeating Kyrgyzstan's Ulan Ulu Adil in the 1/4 finals.
Elvin Mammadov (54 kg) also performed confidently at the World Cup. He advanced to the semi-finals by defeating the Australian Isayu Badato in the quarter-finals.
