Organized by the Equestrian Federation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the National Equestrian Festival dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev will be held on November 5-8, 2023 at the Bina Equestrian Center.
Only the national breed horses - Qarabag and Dilbaz horses will be organized at the festival, Idman.biz reports.
On November 5 at 11:00 a.m., the ceremonial opening ceremony of the festival will be held in the indoor arena. On that day, after the opening ceremony, the first 3 matches of the World Championship in Chovgan will be held. The next day, the other 3 meetings will start at the same time.
The national teams of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Poland and Morocco will participate in the Chovgan Championship.
On November 7, at 11:00 a.m., Jidir and Trot competitions will be started. The races will be organized on the race track of the Bina Equestrian Center. Participants will compete for trophies in a total of 11 competitions, including 6 trot races and 5 jidir races. Cup names will be named after 11 special territories freed from occupation. The title of the day's main trot competition trophy will be called "Shusha", and the title of the main racing competition trophy will be called "Khankendi".
On November 8, 2023, the "third-place" and final games of the World Championship in Chovgan will be held. The first game of the day will start at 11:00.
